Charles and Betty Brenneman
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brenneman of Canoe Creek, 113 Huntingdon Pike, Williamsburg, celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary Friday.
They were married Nov. 22, 1947, at Canoe Creek United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brenneman is the former Betty Mattern.
The couple have three children: Charles “Butch” and his wife, Marie, of Geeseytown; Beth O’Dowd and her husband Daniel of Houston, Texas; and Daniel and his wife, Mary, of Drums. They also have six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brenneman retired as a truck driver, having worked for Elmer F. Smith Trucking, Roaring Spring, for 10 years; R.J. Glass Trucking, Duncansville, for five years; and Ward Trucking, Altoona, for 25 years. He worked as a deputy for the Pennsyl-vania Game Commission for 27 years.
Mrs. Brenneman retired as a cafeteria worker from the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School after 29 years of service.
Both are active in the Scotch Valley Grange, where Mr. Brenneman is a master; the Canoe Creek United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Brenneman is a pianist; and members of the Williamsburg Farm Show Association.
