Frank and Margaret Adams
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 25 with family and friends during a luncheon at the U.S. Hotel Tavern, Hollidaysburg.
The couple recently enjoyed a Viking cruise on the Adriatic Sea from Venice, Italy, to Athens, Greece.
They were married on Nov. 22, 1968, at Sacred Heart Church, Altoona, by Monsignor George Flynn.
Mrs. Adams is the former Margaret Ann Thomas.
The couple have two children: James and his wife, Lori, of Duncansville and Karen “Kay” Manion and husband, Peter, of State College.
They also have three grandchildren: Simon Adams, Duncan Manion and Logan Manion.
Mr. Adams retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Children, Youth and Families.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona, the Brush Mountain Sportsman Association and the Saint Francis Alumni Association.
Mrs. Adams retired from the Altoona Regional Health System.
She is a member of Llyswen United Methodist Church, Altoona.
She is also a volunteer with Blair County Genealogical Society, a member of Saint Francis Alumni Association and she serves on the boards of UPMC Home Nursing Agency and UPMC Behavioral Health.
