PA Roundhouse Rally, Five Nations Reunion, Duncansville Community Days and More!

Here is a listing of area live music and online music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, July 16 through Thursday, July 22.

Another action-packed weekend is set for area live music stages, with several noteworthy events taking place.

The July installment of the Pennsylvania Roundhouse Rally continues this weekend at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson near Duncansville. Musical entertainment includes local country favorites 100 Proof and party band powerhouse the Giants Of Science on Friday, and acoustic duo Lauren & Joe, Half Tempted and the Amish Outlaws on Saturday. Also taking place is the American Wall Of Death motorcycle thrill show with hourly 20-minute shows between noon and 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, and Saturday night’s final drawing for the Harley-Davidson Low Rider motorcycle being given away by the Pennsylvania Roundhouse Rally, a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization.

A popular central PA rock force from the late 1980s and early 1990s is reuniting for a special performance on Friday night at downtown Altoona’s Heritage Plaza. Five Nations reconvenes to provide the rock party starting at 6 p.m. The reuniting roster includes recent Flight 19 alumni Phil Steele, Mark Triforo and Paul Caracciolo, along with fellow rockers Scott Robleski and Tony Harlan. Food and beverages will be provided by the Levity Brewing Company.

Duncansville Community Days is also happening through Saturday night at Duncansville Community Park. The event features numerous activities, including a magic and balloon show plus movie night on Friday; and a craft show, cornhole tournament, the Horseshoe Cloggers, plus live music from Bree Gearhart and Hair Force One before a fireworks display on Saturday. Admission is free.
