A Day Of Music in Tipton, Celtic Music Night in Bedford!

Here is a listing of Pennsylvania live music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, August 7 through Thursday, August 13.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19/coronavirus situation, many live music venues across the state are not able to host performances at this time. The listing below includes both area live public shows and online live-streaming shows; keep checking back, as this listing will be updated as new shows are announced. If a “virtual tip jar” situation is available during live streams, please consider tipping these performers, and support them during this time when they cannot earn income playing shows at public venues. Websites for these performers are also listed; please consider purchasing their music digitally or via CD, which is another way to SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC!

Among live music events happening during the next seven days is the “A Day of Music” event, taking place Saturday afternoon at PPG Pavilion in Tipton. Six area bands and acoustic performers – The Rail Gang Rockers, Rick Chew, Urban Myth, Greg Burley, Above the Radar and 4th Street – will perform sets through the afternoon and early evening. Food and snack vendors will also be available. Admission at the gate is $7 per person, and the music begins at 2 p.m.

And Irish musical flavors will be heard at the Bedford County Fairgrounds on Thursday evening during “Music and Movies: Irish Music Night.” The event begins at 6 p.m. with area Irish rock favorites Full Kilt performing. Following their performance, the concert documentary film “Echoes: The Story,” featuring Celtic Thunder’s Neil Byrne and Ryan Kelly, will be shown. Food trucks and refreshments will be available. Masks and social distancing are encouraged. The fairground gates open at 5:30 p.m., admission is $20 per person.
