Virtual Arts Festival This Weekend!

Here is a listing of Pennsylvania live music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, July 10 through Thursday, July 16.

Restrictions and concerns due to the ongoing COVID-19/coronavirus situation prevent a number of live music venues across the state from hosting performances at this time. Some acoustic indoor shows and outdoor events are happening, but social distancing, venue capacity limits and wearing of masks are often required. Live stream online performances continue to happen on social media, and are listed below; keep checking back, as this listing will be updated as new shows are announced. For online performances, if a “virtual tip jar” situation is available, please consider tipping these performers, and support them during this time when they cannot earn their normal income playing shows at public venues. Websites for these performers are also listed; please consider purchasing their music digitally or via CD, which is another way to SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC!

Several public and outdoor live music events are happening during this weekend. Please practice social distancing and mask recommendations, and respect the personal space of others if they are choosing to wear masks and/or stay distant from other people. And if you are attending indoor liquor-licensed venues where masks are required, please do not hassle venue operators and employees over these requirements, as these business operators are required to follow state health guidelines, and risk fines or loss of operating licenses if they do not follow those guidelines.

Among online music events happening this weekend is the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts Virtual Festival. Several performers who were scheduled to appear at this year’s Festival prior to its cancellation due to COVID-19 will present performances online through Facebook and YouTube. Those performances – happening Friday and Saturday – are listed below. Virtual tip jars will be available for those who wish to donate to help out these musicians.
