Curwensville tree trimmer electrocuted
PHILIPSBURG — A Curwensville man was electrocuted Monday while trimming trees in Centre County.
According to state police in Philipsburg, Adam D. Kanouff, 40, of Curwensville, was killed just before 2 p.m. Monday on the 100 block of Pike Lane in Rush Township after he cut a tree limb that fell across some power lines.
Kanouff, who worked for Townsend Tree Service, was pronounced dead at the scene by Centre County Deputy Coroner Deborah Smeal.
Also assisting state police, who ruled the death accidental, were Moshannon Valley EMS, Hope Fire Company and Mountain Top Fire Company in Sandy Ridge.
