Farm bureau members meet with Cambria County commissioners

EBENSBURG – Members of the Cambria County Farm Bureau recently met with their county commissioners as part of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s Local Government Week.

The area farmers thanked the commissioners for not raising property taxes and for joining in a friend of the court brief in a lawsuit by the American Farm Bureau Federation against the Environmental Pro

tection Agency.

The farmers and commissioners discussed a wide variety of topics, including Cambria County reassessment, funding for the Conservation District, the Ag Land Preservation Program, proposed state drilling regulations, zoning, Clean and Green laws, the county fair and 4-H youth programs, and the proposed new intersection of highway routes 219 and 553.
