Let’s keep uniform colors uniform

I think that there is a better explanation to the issue Philip Cmor discussed in his column last week.

I am a PIAA offical that attended the District 6 meeting on the issue of teams wearing different uniforms to benefit good causes.

The PIAA is not against raising money for charities, but where do you stop and draw a line with multiple colors of uniforms for the different causes?

The one director of the PIAA suggested that if a team wants to raise money for a charity or good cause, then the players, parents and fans can collect money and send it directly to the organization, charity or cause.

By purchasing colored shirts and socks, you are giving the money to the equipment and uniform suppliers, and how much of this money makes it to the cause?

Why not give them 100 percent of the money instead of 10 percent?
