State College hammers Delaware Valley

DANVILLE — State College returned three kickoffs for touchdowns, including two from Dresyn Green, in a 56-19 rout of Delaware Valley.

Keaton Ellis also returned a kickoff 75 yards for a score for the Little Lions.

Isaiah Edwards added a 46-yard touchdown run, Tommy Friberg threw a pair of touchdown passes to Cohen Russell, Kevin Kurzinger returned an interception for a score and Tyson Brennan recovered a fumble in the end zone for State College.

The Little Lions (12-1) will play WPIAL champion Pine-Richland (10-2) in the PIAA Class 6A quarterfinals next weekend.

Correction

Hollidaysburg is in the PIAA Class 5A quarterfinals for the second consecutive season after previously not making it since 1999. The Golden Tigers advanced directly to the PIAA quarterfinals a year ago after defeating Grove City in the District 6-8-10 subregional.
