BEA falls to Sharon in playoffs

Three interceptions and a lost fumble were the difference in an otherwise statistically even matchup Saturday at Mansion Park as Sharon advanced to the PIAA Class 3A semifinals with a 28-7 win over Bald Eagle Area in high school football action.

Down 14-0 after Sharon’s Jordan Wilson scored on touchdown runs of 5 and 54 yards, Bald Eagle (12-3) struck back by driving down the field for Blake Roberts to punch in a touchdown with 14 seconds until halftime.

Eagles quarterback Jaden Jones was 12-of-26 passing for 151 yards, but was picked off three times. Both teams had 13 first downs and Sharon only outgained the Eagles by 17 yards, but was only penalized once to BEA’s three flags for 20 yards.
