Rams win battle of Baileys

JOHNSTOWN — Richland coach Brandon Bailey beat his father’s team for just the third time in 16 games and for the first time since 2012 as the Rams topped Forest Hills, 56-27, on Friday.

Caleb Burke caught four touchdown passes from Joe Hauser for the Rams. Hauser threw for five touchdowns and ran for another.

Adam Cecere threw three touchdown passes for Don Bailey’s Forest Hills, and Damon Crawley added a touchdown run.

The Rangers (1-2) will host Somerset next Friday while Richland, which remained unbeaten at 3-0, will travel across town to take on winless Johnstown.

The Rams put the game away with five straight scores after a Dylan Fyock touchdown reception had brought the Rangers within 7-6.

Richland, Penn Cambria and Chestnut Ridge all stand atop the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference after three weeks.
