Notable: In addition to being a rematch of both last year’s and the 2013 final, this is a matchup of the top two seeds. Guilfoyle is the top seed, and, of course, plays its home games at Mansion Park. … Guilfoyle is looking for its sixth District 6 championship and its fourth in a row in Class 1A. The Marauders won a pair of Class 2A crowns in the 1980s and are 5-2 overall in district finals. … Homer-Center was 3-0 in D6 finals before last season’s loss. … The Marauders haven’t allowed a first half touchdown in seven games. … Guilfoyle is a plus-22 in turnover margin, making 24 interceptions this season — Conrad has an area-leading nine. … Yasulitis, who has a three-game string of rushing for 100 yards snapped last week, needs 26 yards to reach 1,000. … Homer-Center averages 227.3 rushing yards per game. Lee has more than 1,100 yards, and McCracken is closing in on 900. … BG allows 2.9 yards per carry. … Homer-Center started 17 underclassmen in last year’s D6 final, and Sunday transferred in from Blairsville. … Sankey and Speck are new to the Marauder roster this fall as transfers from Altoona and Huntingdon, respectively.
