Notable: Windber has captured five District 5 championships, all in Class 2A. Before winning the title last year, the last time the Lady Ramblers cut down the nets at UPJ was in 2011. … Everett’s has won 10 District 5 titles, the last in 2015. … The Lady Warriors lost by two to Penns Valley competing in the District 5-6 Class 3A championship game a year ago. … Everett beat Windber in the second game of the regular season, 45-32, on Dec. 8. … Everett’s three losses this season have come to defending Class 2A state champion Bellwood-Antis (twice) and Penns Manor, a PIAA Class 2A semifinalist last year which will enter the state playoffs this year as District 6’s third seed.
