Lady Lions pick up first win of season
CARLISLE — The Altoona girls basketball team picked up their first win of the season Tuesday night, thanks to a 65-24 win over Carlisle in high school action.
It was Carlisle’s first loss (2-1).
The Lady Lions (1-3), up 35-3 at halftime after a 14-2 first-quarter showing, got 20 points from Caranda Perea, 12 from Bridgid Fox and 10 from Adaliz Corbin. Perea hit five 3-pointers to get to her 20 points.
Julianna Aikins led Carlisle with nine points.
