Notable: Huntingdon is making its first appearance in the PIAA tournament since falling to Hampton in an opening-round contest in Class 3A in 2010. … This is the 15th time the Bearcats have reached the state playoffs. They are 4-5 in first round games and 5-9 in their opening-round contests (they received byes through the first round in 1932, 1934, 1945, 1964 and 1977. … Huntingdon has won eight straight games since losing at Clearfield on Jan. 24. … Huntingdon’s scored 80 points or more 10 times this season. … Lancaster Catholic is 17-17 all-time in the state playoffs. Notable: Bishop Carroll missed last year’s state playoffs, snapping a six-year string of qualifying. … The Huskies are 9-7 in the first round of the PIAA playoffs and have won three of their last four first-round contests. … The only loss in those four games was in overtime against Elk County Catholic in 2015. … Ertter averages 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per contest. … This is only the seventh Class 1A opponents Bishop Carroll has faced all season. The Huskies defeated the previous six, all by at least nine points. … Imani Christian lost to Juniata Valley in the opening round of the state playoffs last year.
