Notable: Chestnut Ridge is making its fourth trip to the district or subregional championship in 26 years. The Lions beat Berlin Brothersvalley in the District 5 Class 2A final in 2015. … The Bulldogs defeated Everett in last year’s subregional championship at Somerset Area High School. … Five of Westinghouse’s six losses came against teams from larger classifications which have qualified for the state playoffs. … Dillow and Jackson each average more than 8.5 rebounds per game. Dillow, an all-state football player, also is averaging 3.9 steals. … The Lions shoot 46 percent from the floor. … Likely to sign with Duquesne, Ellis averages 12.0 rebounds and 6.0 blocks.
