College signing: C.J. Fulare, Penn State Altoona basketball

Name: C.J. Fulare

High school: Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic

Hometown: Altoona

Sport: Boys basketball

Position: Point guard

College choice: Penn State Altoona

Other colleges considered: Penn State Behrend, Harrisburg, DuBois and Juniata College

Why I picked Penn State Altoona: “Ever since growing up I’ve always wanted to go to Penn State, knowing I would be able to get a great education there plus the fact that Coach Clapper has the program on the upswing.”

Greatest high school achievement: “Winning a district championship and hitting the game winning shot.”

Coach Chris Drenning’s quote: “C.J. has been a two-year starter for us who was an integral part of our 39 victories including one district 6 championship, over those two seasons. He has worked hard to improve his game, and he has a skill set that should translate well to the next level. His ability to set up other players is outstanding, and he has developed his own offensive game as well. I know he will continue to improve, and everyone in our program will be proud to have him represent it at the next level.”

How I got my start playing basketball: “Getting my first little tyke’s hoop when I was 3.”

Favorite college growing up: Penn State
