Notable: This is a rematch of a PIAA quarterfinal game from last year that Bishop Guilfoyle won, 45-35, at IUP. Kroh, Thornton and Miles all started for Clarion in that game. No Lady Marauder starters are back, but Alyssa McGhee saw action off the bench. BG is 15-8 in PIAA quarterfinal games. Clarion’s trip to the quarters last year was its first since 1992, when the Lady Bobcats played in the state finals. … Adams has exceeded her scoring average in four of the Lady Marauders’ five playoff games and made 13 of her 30 3-pointers this season during that span. … Guilfoyle was 0-2 in games decided by three points or less in the regular season but is 2-0 in the postseason. The Lady Marauders surpassed the 300-steal mark as a team in the last round against Serra Catholic. … Thornton needed 10 points entering the Quigley game to reach 1,000 for her career, joining Miles above that plateau. She scored 11. … The four teams in the lower half of the bracket are the exact same four teams as in 2013. Clarion lost to Venango Catholic, the team Guilfoyle beat in its PIAA playoff opener, 52-47, on Feb. 10.
