Lady Marauders play at Indiana
Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic’s Class A state quarterfinal high school girls basketball playoff game today will be played at Indiana Area High School, the PIAA announced on Friday morning.
Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. It is the only game scheduled at the venue.
The District 6 champion Lady Marauders take a 22-5 record into the game, while Clarion, the District 9 champ, is 22-6. This is a rematch of a 2013 quarterfinal won by Guilfoyle that also was played in Indiana, but at IUP and not the high school.
The winner of the game will play either Vincentian or Kennedy Catholic in the state semifinals on Tuesday. The championship game will be next Saturday afternoon at the Giant Center in Hershey.
In addition to the BG game, one local high school will be hosting a playoff game this afternoon – Palmyra from District 3 and Elizabeth Forward of District 7 will meet up at Chestnut Ridge’s Richard Fisher Gymnasium in a Class AAA contest at 1 p.m.
