Gripp sparks Lady Eagles
SAXTON – Nicole Gripp scored 12 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter Saturday night, helping the Tyrone Area High School girls basketball team to a 57-54 come-from-behind win at Tussey Mountain.
Tussey Mountain (12-5) had an attempt at a tie with a 3-pointer at the end but missed. Tyrone improved to 10-5.
Tyrone, which trailed, 10-6, after one quarter, also got 15 points from Alayna Hettinger.
Tussey, which led 36-31 heading into the fourth quarter, got 16 points from Olivia Claycomb and 13 from Courtney Rupert.
