Athlete of the week achievement: Wess raced to a first-place finish in the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference Championship Meet in Ebensburg with a time of 19 minutes, 22.4 seconds to win by more than 12 seconds. She also helped the Lady Devils claim the team championship.

Season update: Wess and her teammates will be competing in the District 6 Class 2A meet this Saturday in Reedsville.
