Claysburg’s Claar gets things started for Bulldogs

Athlete of the week achievement: Claar, the leadoff hitter, went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored two runs while playing an error-less shortstop in Claysburg’s 8-4 District 6 Class 1A softball championship victory over Glendale.

Season update: Claar is hitting .421 (32-for-76) with 29 runs, two home runs and 25 RBIs for the 17-4 Lady Bulldogs, who play in the PIAA first-round playoffs today against Sullivan County.
