Athlete of Week: Simmons ‘role model’ for Carroll teammates

Athlete of the week achievement: Simmons led the Lady Huskies to a 5-0 week by going 13-for-15 with four home runs, three doubles, a triple and 14 RBIs. She was also 5-0 in the circle with 46 strikeouts and two walks.

Season update: Simmons is hitting .607 with five homers and 17 RBIs. She is also 5-3 pitching with a 2.43 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 49 innings.
