Athlete of the week achievement: Showalter tossed a two-hitter with six strikeouts and no earned runs, and he also went 2-for-3 with a game-ending home run in Huntingdon’s 11-1 victory over Bald Eagle Area in the District 6 Class 3A championship game.

Season update: Showalter is 7-0 with three saves and a 0.59 ERA. He has struck out 66 batters in 47 innings. He’s also hitting .381 with two homers and 22 RBIs.
