Mulhollen, Glendale savor D6 title

Name: Lexi Mulhollen

Sport: Softball

Athlete of the week achievement: Mulhollen went 1-for-3 with a home run and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as Glendale beat Claysburg-Kimmel, 5-4, in the District 6 Class 1A championship game. She also was the winning pitcher as the Lady Vikings won their first district title in any sport since 1992.

Season update: Mulhollen is 14-3 with a 2.35 ERA and 105 strikeouts. At the plate, she’s belted six home runs and 11 doubles while driving in 24 runs. Glendale is 18-4.
