Athlete of the week achievement: Mattas scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds as the Lady Hornets defeated Bishop Carroll, 46-33, in the PIAA Class 1A semifinals on Tuesday. She came back with a team-high 11 points to go along with eight rebounds in a 55-43 loss to Lebanon Catholic in the finals.

Season update: Mattas finished the year averaging 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals as Juniata Valley went 24-6.
