Athlete of the week achievement: Johnson went five innings to earn the win, giving up no earned runs and four hits to go with four strikeouts and no walks in a 7-1 victory over Portage in the District 6 Class A baseball championship game. He also went 1-for-2.

Season update: Johnson is 7-3 with a 1.56 ERA and one save and 51 strikeouts. He is also hitting .200 (5-for-25). Juniata Valley (15-8) plays Meyersdale in the first round of the state playoffs today.
