CC’s Wess shines at state meet

Name: Paige Wess

Sport: Track and field

Athlete of the week achievement: Wess was part of the gold-medal winning 3200-meter relay at the PIAA Track and Field Championships. She also earned a seventh-place medal in the 1600-meter relay and advanced to the finals in the 1600 run.

Season update: Wess had the top time in the Mirror coverage area in the 1600 run (5:09.48), the 1600 relay (3:59.45) and 3200 relay (9:11.81). She also had the second-fastest time in the 300 hurdles (48.74).
