Athlete of the week achievement: Oliver captured the gold medal in the PIAA Class AA Wrestling Championships in Hershey by beating Westmont Hilltop’s Anthony Walters, 6-4, in overtime in the final.

Season update: Oliver finished the year with a 33-4 record with a total of 15 pins and two technical falls.

Coach Jon Mykut’s quote: “(The state title is) well deserved for Jake. People knew he was injured, but he battled through for about a month-and-a-half with that shoulder injury. The kid is as tough as nails.”
