Athlete of the week achievement: Simmons, a pitcher, won five games, including a perfect game in a 12-0 win over Northern Cambria. She also hit a grand slam in the victory. She had three multi-hit games and drove in nine runs.

Season update: She is 8-2 this season with two no-hitters. In 39 innings last week, she had 33 strikeouts and seven walks. She faced 151 batters and gave up only 26 hits. She has 16 RBIs, two doubles and one home run.
