Athlete of the week achievement: Gabriel finished second at the PIAA Class AA Championships at 113 pounds, falling to Bethlehem Catholic’s returning state runner-up Luke Karam, 5-0. Gabriel won three bouts to get to the finals, including a technical fall and a pin.

Season update: Gabriel finished with a 29-6 record, 11 pins, four technical falls and four major decisions.
