Athlete of the week achievement: Kachman placed third in the PIAA Class AA cross country meet in 16:38. He also started for the Bedford soccer team in a PIAA Class AA subregional playoff win.

Season update: Kachman placed first in the Big Valley and Forest Hills invitationals, and the Laurel Highlands and District 6-AA championships.

Coach Michele Fisher’s quote: “His goal all season was to get at least the top five at states, and he want to win the whole thing before he graduates. He starts every soccer game, so we don’t see him at practice much. But he did come this past week and was really focused on the state meet.”
