Athlete of the week achievement: Claar went 7-for-10 with a home run, five runs scored and four RBIs in victories over Portage, Williamsburg and Glendale. He also fired a one-hitter in beating Williamsburg.

Season update: Claar is 2-0 on the mound and has given up just five hits in three appearances for the 5-1 Bulldogs. He is also 11-for-19 hitting.
