Lady Lions start 0-2 in Big Ten Conference play

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Penn State women’s basketball team dropped a 83-75 road battle at Indiana late Monday night in Big Ten action at Assembly Hall.

Penn State, which started the season at 5-1, dropped to 7-6 overall and 0-2 in the Big Ten Conference.

The Hoosiers held a one-point lead entering the fourth quarter before outscoring the Lady Lions 27-20 in the final quarter with the help of a 13-for-15 showing from the free throw line and 12 fourth-quarter points from Ali Patberg.

Senior guard Teniya Page led four Lady Lions in double figures with 24 points, her seventh 20-plus point effort of the season. The Chicago native also led Penn State in rebounds (eight) and assists (three).

Sophomores Alisia Smith and Kamaria McDaniel followed with 15 and 14 points, respectively, while junior Siyeh Frazier added 11.

PSU hosts Wisconsin Thursday.
