Nittany Lions lose

STILLWATER, Okla. -The Penn State wrestling team, ranked No. 5, dropped a 21-18 dual meet to No. 8 Oklahoma State on Sunday.

The dual came down to a tie-breaking heavyweight bout with Oklahoma State escaping with the win.

At 285 pounds, Penn State senior Jon Gingrich nearly pulled off the upset, using a second period reversal to take a lead over No. 5 Austin Marsden.

Marsden used two escapes to send the bout to extra time. After a scoreless sudden victory period, Marsden reversed Gingrich in his :30 tie-breaker and clinched the dual meet with a 4-3 win.
