PSU coaching staff gets a Hand
Penn State coach James Franklin appears to have rounded out his coaching staff by bringing on board offensive line coach Herb Hand, who had been his staff at Vanderbilt.
There has been no official confirmation of Hand joining the staff, or any other assistant coaches for that matter.?But Hand posted on Twitter that he has departed the Vanderbilt staff, and multiple Internet sites that cover coaching movement have reported he is coming to Penn State.
Hand also has coached at Tulsa, West Virginia and Clemson among other stops in his career.
Along with Hand, Franklin’s staff now includes:
* John Donovan, offensive coordinator
* Ricky?Rahne, quarterbacks
* Charles Huff, running backs, special teams
* Bob Shoop, defensive coordinator
* Brent Pry, linebackers
* Sean Spencer, defensive line
* Dwight Galt, strength and conditioning
* Josh Gattis
* Terry Smith
Gattis, a former NFL defensive back, was the receivers coach at Vanderbilt but could be working with the secondary at PSU, while Smith works with the receivers.
