Lindblom tries to impress Bucs brass

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Pittsburgh starter Josh Lindblom, who spent the last two seasons in Korea, started and pitched two scoreless innings as the Pirates defeated Minnesota, 3-1, in spring training action Wednesday.

John Jaso had two hits for the Pirates, including a home run.

The Twins got their only run in the fourth inning against reliever Dovydas Neverauskes, who gave up two hits with no walks and one strikeout. Motana DuRapau pitched the ninth for the Pirates and struck out two.

The Pirates (4-2) got to Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson, who lasted less than two innings, giving up two runs on six hits.
