Wilson, Kasun lead BG to win over Bedford

BEDFORD — Lyzee Wilson had a game-high 17 kills and Emily Kasun had 33 assists for Bishop Guilfoyle in a 28-30, 25-16, 25-19, 25-15 win over Bedford in high school volleyball Tuesday.

Erin Yahner registered 10 digs for the Lady Marauders.

Bedford’s Riley Stahlman had 10 kills, Hannah Lafferty had 14 digs and Racquel Imler had 10 digs.

Chloe Guzic had 17 assists and Daijah Lilly had 17 digs for the Lady Panthers. Liv Papi also had eight blocks.

ROARING SPRING — Mattie Cherry’s 22 assists and Reagan Iron’s nine kills paced Tyrone in a 25-15, 25-19, 25-17 win over Central at Spring Cove Middle School.

Courtney Williams added six kills for the Lady Eagles, and Brianna Foy had a team-high 11 digs.

Central’s Lainie Heuston had 12 digs for the Lady Dragons, Brooke Claar had four kills and Erin Brumbaugh had seven assists.

Sara Muriceak had 23 assists and nine digs for the Lady Huskies and Mia Wyland added 14 digs.

Musser, Beasom lead JV

ALEXANDRIA — Emma Musser registered 20 kills and Maddy Beasom added 10 as Juniata Valley topped Tussey Mountain, 25-10, 18-25, 25-13, 25-12 in high school girls volleyball action from Monday night.

Beasom was also the Lady Hornets’ dig leader (12), Musser had a team-high six blocks and Hayden Taylor led in assists (33).
