Bedford tops Penn Cambria

H.S. girls soccer

CRESSON — Grace Sarver assisted on four first-half goals to help Bedford knock off Penn Cambria, 6-2, in the opener for both teams in high school girls soccer action on Tuesday.

Goal scorers for Bedford were Katelyn Shaffer, Juliana Taylor, Lizzy Martz, Kiley Horne, Taylor Downs and Robyn Casalena. Bayle Kunsman scored twice for Penn Cambria.

Lauren Kiser, Morgan Sarver, Darrian Berkheimer and Katie Aveni each scored first-half goals as Altoona topped Mifflin County at Mansion Park and improved to 3-0.

Berkheimer also assisted on two goals, and Altoona keeper Julia Lane had five saves.
