Athlete of Week: Mowry delivers in big situations

Athlete of the week achievement: Keeper Mowry shut out both Hollidaysburg and Altoona in the Lady Lion Tournament on Saturday. She had three saves in a 1-0 win over Hollidaysburg and 11 saves in a 0-0 tie with Altoona.

Season update: Mowry also was in goal for a 6-2 win over Penn Cambria, helping Bedford get off to a 2-0-1 start.

Coach Jeff Thomas’ quote: “Lindsay continues to improve in the goal. She has good hands, feet and eye coordination. As long as she is in there, she is going to keep you in the game. She is a big game changer. She continues to come through in big game situations.”
