Dean Patterson Little World Series

Masonic Lodge of the Altoona Area Baseball Association moved to 2-0 in the 2019 Dean Patterson Little World Series with a 7-1 win over East End champion Dean Patterson on Sunday at the Altoona Independent Youth Baseball League’s Centennial Field.

Vincent Cacciotti homered, drove in two runs and was the winning pitcher for Masonic, and Michael Cacciotti collected three hits. Lukas Weathersbee drove in a pair of runs.

n River Valley Custom Apparel took advantage of seven walks in the sixth inning to beat Peterman’s Florist, 11-6.

Tanner Reffner and Cadynce Hughes each drove in two runs for River Valley, and Lyza Albright and Ben Parson each drove in two for Peterman’s.

n Landon Douglas had two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs to help Wolf Furniture down ERA Sports, 5-1. Owen Miller also drove in two runs, and Ryan Helsel earned the win.

n Winning pitcher Caden Gibbons struck out six and ripped two hits to lead Sheetz to a 12-7 win over Allstate Insurance.

Leland Baer had two hits and two RBIs, Gavin Dunkle and Connor Waite registered two RBIs each, and Kody Webster had two hits. Mason Campagna pushed home two runs for Allstate.

n Braxton Zitsch earned the win by striking out 15 batters over six innings as Burgmeier Hauling defeated Sylvan Veterinary, 5-2.

Keagan Smith, Andrew Sackett and Brycen Johnson knocked in one run apiece for Burgmeier, while Mick Nedimyer and Trevor Rehm tallied one RBI each for Sylvan.

n Nathan Keith registered three hits, including a two-run homer, and totaled four RBIs as Williamsburg Self Storage needed just two innings to eliminate Park Home, 16-1.

Anthony Neri came through with four hits and four RBIs, and Jesse Brumbaugh drove home two runs for Williamsburg.

n Winning pitcher Aaron Smearman struck out 11 over four innings of work to lift L.S. Fiore to a 4-0 victory over Hastings. Noah Rodriguez and Nicholas Kraft smacked two hits each, while Connor Christman tallied two RBIs for L.S. Fiore, now 2-0.

n Preston Farabaugh tallied two hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs to lead Biter Electric to a 13-1 win over Penn Med.

Bryce Wheeler had two hits and three RBIs, Jacob Gregg earned the win with nine strikeouts, had two hits and two RBIs, Cayden Helsel totaled two hits, and Ethan Benton recorded two RBIs for Biter.

Joseph Speece came through with two hits for Penn Med.
