Locker Room picks up split in GCBL contest

Locker Room crushed BMG Construction, 16-1, after falling to BMG, 17-16, in the completion of a suspended game in the Altoona Greater City Baseball League on Sunday at Vets Field.

Tyler Stiffler went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Mason Hershey drove in three runs in Locker Room’s four-inning victory.

In BMG’s win, Julius Nieman had two hits and five RBIs, Jordon Colon drove in three runs, and Brandon Durbin had three hits.

Kevin Scholly drove in five runs for Locker Room, and Stiffler and Brett Weibley each drove in three.

Altoona Teener League

Erik Rhodes singled in Austin Parker in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift SHAG! over M&T Bank, 3-2, in the Altoona Teener League Deremer Division playoffs at Seitz Field on Sunday.

SHAG! won the best-of-three playoff series, 2-1, and will now play in the semifinals against Bavarian Hall.

Rhodes and Josh Merritts each collected two hits for SHAG!

n ERA Sports moved to 2-0 in the Altoona Teener League Lowey Division playoffs with an 11-7 win over Gingrich Insurance.

Baron Dionis, Bryce Eberhart, Tucker Rossman, Jadd Younes and Ethan Karageanes each had two hits, and Eberhart and Rossman each drove in three runs.

Nick Helsley had two hits and two RBIs for Gingrich.
