Patton upsets Barton’s

PATTON — Nick Blake singled in JT Elias with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Patton Legion over previously-unbeaten Barton’s Plumbing & Heating, 10-9, in George B. Kelley Federation play Sunday.

Barton’s scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game.

Elias went 3-for-3, reached base on all five at bats, scored three runs and drove in four. Hunter Yeckley also reached base five times and scored three runs, and Cody Schreyer had three hits and two RBIs.

LILLY — Lilly split a doubleheader with Somerset, winning 9-4 in the opener, and falling, 5-3, in the second game.

In the opener, Devon Conway went 2-for-3 and scored twice for Lilly, Collin Reese had two hits and two RBIs, and Caleb Hurley and Richard Perrone each drove in two runs.

In the second game, Bryce Mulhollen broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run single in the sixth inning to lift Somerset.
