Bedford boys tennis eliminated

JOHNSTOWN — Luke Dague had Bedford’s lone victory of the day, a 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 win over Ethan Moyer, but Conrad Weiser of District 3 won both doubles matches and No. 1 and No. 2 singles in a 4-1 win in the first round of the PIAA team tennis tournament Tuesday at North Fork Tennis Club.

Caleb Beidle fell in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-3, while Johnny Imgrund lost 6-4, 6-1 in No. 2 singles.

Bedford finishes the season with a record of 20-2. Conrad Weiser will adavance to the quarterfinals on Friday morning at Hershey Raquet Club with a 9:30 match against District 11 champion Moravian Academy.

Williamsburg rolls

SAXTON — Elizabeth Frederick was 3-for-3, scored three runs, drove in four more and also pitched a four-inning, 15-0, shutout of Tussey Mountain in high school softball.

Frederick had eight strikeouts for the Lady Pirates. Emily Smith was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Professionals Auto Body wins

Joe Bukowsky had 10 strikeouts and got the win in relief for Professionals Auto Body, which held on to top Cumming Motors, 8-7, in Altoona Teener League Deremer division action Tuesday night at Seitz Field.

Bukowsky and Brendon Holtsaldner each had two RBIs for the inners. Brock Winter snad Lucas Caracciolo each had two RBIs for Cumming Motors .
