Yon helps Altoona blank Tigers

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Ian Yon struck out nine batters in five shutout innings, and Adam Sinisi drove in three runs with a double and a sacrifice fly as Altoona held Hollidaysburg scoreless for the second time in a week, winning 10-0 in high school baseball on Wednesday.

Marcus Day and Owen Kravetz each drove in two runs for the Mountain Lions.

Zach Miller and Nick Helsel doubled for the Golden Tigers.

Kevin Lehner had a two-run homer for the Golden Eagles, who led 8-0 after two innings, and sophomore Michael Buck was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

David Lang and Nic Light combined to allow just two Blue Pirate hits.

PATTON — Devin Renzi drove in four of Central Cambria’s eight runs, including three on an RBI triple, in a win over Cambria Heights.

Nate Wyrwas was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Devils, and Zach Malay was 2-for-4 with an RBI and one run scored. Renzi received the win for Central Cambria with seven strikeouts.

Hunter Yeckley scored the only run for Cambria Heights.

Glendale 13

Harmony 0

FLINTON — Austin Hammerle and Ethan Cavelet had three RBIs each for Glendale, which shut out Harmony.

Hammerle had three total hits for the Vikings. Both he and Cavalet tripled for Glendale, Cory Johnston doubled, and Jacob Jasper had a home run.
