Tyrone raises streak to nine

Golden Eagles beat P-O in battle of unbeatens

PHILIPSBURG — Tyrone pounded out 12 hits in winning a battle of unbeaten Mountain League teams, 8-2, over Philipsburg-Osceola in high school baseball action on Thursday.

Colson Lewis drove in two runs and scored twice for Tyrone, now 9-0. Matt Savino was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, and Cory Lehman went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Rodney Shultz went all seven innings for the Golden Eagles in a winning effort. Lewis and Andrew Pearson each had two stolen bases.

Keegan Soltis and Ryan Whitehead each delivered three hits for the Mounties, now 6-1.
