Hartman, Yon lead Lions to win

Matt Hartman went the distance on the mound and had an RBI double as Altoona edged Mifflin County, 4-3, at Mansion Park Wednesday in high school baseball action.

Ian Yon followed Hartman’s double with an RBI single, and Jake Hunter’s two-run double brought in all the runs the Mountain Lions needed.

Brian Yetter had two hits and two RBIs for Mifflin County.

BELLWOOD — Bellwood-Antis scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, but Claysburg put a run across the plate in extras to pull out the win in the Inter-County Conference.

Corey Chamberlain and Kyle Glass split pitching duties for the Bulldogs, with Chamberlain getting six strikeouts and Glass getting the win. John Kost scored two Blue Devil runs.
