BG beats rival at PNG Field in 7th

Michael Boston was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh Thursday afternoon, which helped Bishop Guilfoyle beat Bishop McCort, 7-6, in a high school baseball game played at PNG Field.

Max Swineford scored the winning run for BG (6-4). Ben Dombrowski had three hits and got the win in relief in a game that was tied, 5-5, after three innings. Teammate Daniel Potopa added two hits and an RBI.

WILLIAMSPORT — Hollidaysburg improved to 6-4 with a twinbill sweep at Williamsport played on Wednesday night.

In the opener, Sam Servello drove home Noah Gouchnour in the top of the eighth inning with what turned out to be the winning run in a 3-2 victory. Garrett Kratzer worked three scoreless innings of relief for a win.

In the nightcap, Bryce Helmer worked into the sixth inning, giving up just two earned runs in the 7-3 victory. Servello had three hits while Bryce Martellacci added two hits and two RBIs.
