Bedford now 8-1

BEDFORD–Bedford improved to 8-1 with another 5-0 victory, this time against Westmont Hilltop in high school boys tennis Wednesday.

Caleb Beidle, Johnny Imgrund and Luke Dague were all winners in singles competition for the second day in a row. The teams of Zach Kachman and Lance Dague, along with Joey Windows and Cole Hampton, were winners in doubles action.

Golden Eagles top ‘Cats

HUNTINGDON–Huntingdon’s No. 1 singles player Bruce Perow defeated Tyrone’s Noah Irvin, but the Golden Eagles won the remaining singles matches and split doubles in a 5-2 win.

Caden Brooks, Caleb Orr, Nick Lewis and Dean Grassi all won for Tyrone, which improved to 2-2. The team of Kelton Raabe and Leighton Ahlert won in doubles action.

Ryne Talko scored two singles victories, but Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic dropped two 4-1 Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference decisions to Somerset.

BG is 0-7, while Somerset improved to 4-1.
