PSU Altoona men score 112 in win
Three Penn State Altoona players scored at least 20 points in a 112-84 win over Pitt-Bradford in men’s college basketball action Wednesday night at Adler Arena.
Cameron Gardner-Nicholson led the Lions with 23 points, while Jack Kusters had 21 and Jalen Archie-Davis 20.
Shevelle Bailey chipped in 16 points, and Y’shua Bragg had 10 off the bench for Penn State Altoona, which led 54-40 at the half and then scored 58 points in the second half.
Mount men win
CRESSON — Carlos Palacios led Mount Aloysius with 18 points in a 70-56 home win over Franciscan.
Julian Stover had 15 points for the Mount, while Josiah Jones added 14.
Mount women prevail
CRESSON — Lea Sammaraco scored 23 points to lead the Mount Aloysius women to a 72-52 win at home over Franciscan.
Breana Kendrick had 15 points, while Machala Gibbons had 12 and Hannah Kitko 11 for the Mount.
Lady Lions lose
Pitt-Bradford had a 30-point fourth quarter to pick up a 90-87 road win over the Penn State Altoona women.
Alexis Cannistraci led six Penn State Altoona players in double figures with 23 points. Jessica Stevens had 16, while Paige Burk and Emily Lehman had 13 apiece, and Kaley Strittmatter and Finnley Christine 10 each.
Juniata women fall on road
YORK — Gracie Stauffer scored a team-high 18 points in a losing effort as the Juniata women fell at York, 75-58.
Grace Long and Larissa Leonard had eight points apiece for Juniata, which trailed 39-26 at the half.
